Job summary

LEGO Digital Play in London is seeking a senior graphics software engineer to design and build graphics technology and tooling that deliver high‑quality visuals for game development teams.

You will evaluate and implement rendering techniques that hold up at extreme scene scale, profile and optimize CPU/GPU performance, and collaborate with senior domain specialists to ensure renderer quality, brand integrity, and safety‑by‑design throughout the stack.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, STEM field or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep expertise in real-time rendering for mobile and other platforms.
• Background in games with shipped high quality titles.
• Expert C/C++ skills with large codebases and hands-on experience.
• Strong shader programming skills.
• Experience developing with major game engines and willingness to work with commercial engines.
• Evidence-driven approach to performance, profiling and benchmarking.
• Fluency with modern AI tooling to accelerate work while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Design and build graphics technology and tooling for game development teams.
• Choose and implement rendering techniques for extreme scene scale and density.
• Contribute to benchmarks and regression suites to keep core systems scalable.
• Ground technical direction in evidence and share findings with teams.
• Profile, debug and optimise across CPU and GPU performance.
• Collaborate with core systems and tools engineers, embedding brand integrity and safety-by-design.
