Job summary

AVEVA Australia seeks a Principal Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of large-scale software services across the Pacific region. You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage scope, time, and budget, and ensure client satisfaction on multi-country deployments in industries like energy and manufacturing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, 5+ years in software project management, PMP/PRINCE2 or Agile certifications, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in software or IT service delivery.
• Experience managing complex, multi-country, multi-site projects, including global rollouts.
• Proficiency in IT integration, MES, KPI dashboards, SCADA systems preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills in English with strong leadership and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of large-scale software delivery projects.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional technical teams, including client acceptance testing.
• Review high-level deliverables and manage project scope, assessing requirement changes and their impact on budget and timelines.
• Implement consistent project management methodologies and quality assurance procedures in line with PMO policies.
• Monitor and mitigate risks across projects, ensuring timely escalation when necessary.
• Manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project financials, including revenue recognition, invoicing, receivables, and procurement strategies.
• Track project progress using appropriate tools and prepare clear activity and progress reports.
• Forecast cost, revenue, and utilization across projects.
• Identify and capitalize on add-on sales opportunities and support the sales team with proposals, demos, and client training.
