Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking an experienced Head of Configuration Management to lead the global CM framework, embedding governance and operating practices across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, IT and Programme Management.

The role requires hands-on leadership through implementation, pilots, rollout and post-launch support, with a pragmatic, structured approach and deep CM standards knowledge. Up to 25% travel may be required across the organisation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Configuration Management experience including leadership.
• Deep knowledge of CM standards and frameworks (EIA-649, ISO 10007).
• Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, defence, medical devices, or automotive.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to translate CM principles into practical business processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of a global Configuration Management Framework.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, IT and Programme Management.
• Provide hands-on leadership through framework implementation, pilots, rollout and post-launch support.
• Ensure sustainable and scalable Configuration Management capabilities and governance.
