Job summary

Morson Edge in Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom, seeks an experienced Head of Configuration Management to lead the development and deployment of a global CM framework. This senior role collaborates with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, IT, and Programme Management to establish robust processes, governance, and operating practices.

You will provide hands-on leadership through implementation, pilot projects, rollout, and post-launch support, ensuring sustainable CM capabilities.

Qualifications

8+ years in Configuration Management with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Deep knowledge of Configuration Management standards and frameworks (EIA-649, ISO 10007).
Experience with Configuration Management software tools; Teamcenter preferred.
Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, defence, medical devices, or automotive.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to translate Configuration Management principles into practical business processes.

Responsibilities

Lead development and deployment of a global Configuration Management Framework.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, IT, and Programme Management to embed CM processes, governance and operating practices.
Provide hands-on leadership throughout framework implementation, pilots, rollout and post-launch support.
Ensure sustainable and scalable Configuration Management capabilities across the organisation.
