Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Endoscopist to deliver high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. The role requires autonomous practice, advanced GI knowledge, and contribution to improvement across the endoscopy pathway.

You will work across sites, support senior nursing leadership, and participate in training, audits and national targets; a dedicated clinician focused on patient-centred care and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Essential: JAG accredited endoscopist (upper & lower GI) and Independent Nurse Prescriber.
• Experience as autonomous nurse endoscopist; extensive GI endoscopy practice.
• Able to work across sites and manage complex care pathways.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI endoscopy procedures as an expert practitioner.
• Contribute to service development and adherence to national waiting time/cancer targets.
• Support senior nurse leadership and drive quality improvement in endoscopy services.
• Engage in training, audits and multidisciplinary teamwork to improve patient outcomes.
