Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly competent Clinical Endoscopist to join our expanding Endoscopy Service in London. The role requires independent endoscopy practice, JAG accreditation, and participation in a multidisciplinary team focused on patient safety and quality improvement.

The successful candidate will perform diagnostic and therapeutic GI endoscopy for sedated and non-sedated patients, contribute to governance and training, and support service development within

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (level 1) with NHS registration.
• Postgraduate diploma/degree level or equivalent experience.
• JAG accredited endoscopy required.
• Non-medical prescribing wherever applicable.
• Recognised teaching/assessing qualification desired.
• Train the trainers in endoscopy experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous GI endoscopy including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as per scope.
• Contribute to governance, audits, quality improvement and service development.
• Educate and train trainee endoscopists, nursing staff and junior medical colleagues.
