Job summary

Sweco UK is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal/Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join our Structures team in central London, near Liverpool Street. The role offers progression based on experience and a chance to work on high-profile European projects.

You’ll lead geotechnical design and assessments, collaborate with structural engineers, and mentor junior staff while contributing to reports and design communications. A flexible, inclusive environment supports growth and development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in geotechnical engineering design and assessment.
• Experience with Ground Movement Assessments and complex third-party interfaces.
• Knowledge of foundation design, ground improvement and foundation reuse.
• Experience working with structural engineers and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide geotechnical design and assessment on complex building and infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to technical reports, calculations and design communication.
• Mentor team members with less experience.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams.
