Job summary

Clarkson Owens Recruitment seeks an experienced General Foreman to join a civil engineering contractor on a large Perth project. The role is freelance, with work available until the end of the year and rate negotiable based on experience. You will oversee groundworks, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The candidate should have CSCS and SSSTS, strong leadership, and excellent communication to liaise with the client and management team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as General Foreman or similar supervisory role in civil engineering.
• CSCS and SSSTS required.
• Hands-on leadership and ability to coordinate day-to-day activities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day groundworks and civil engineering operations on site.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Ensure works meet drawings, specs and quality standards.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Liaise with client and project stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and report to senior management.
• Identify and resolve site issues promptly.
• Work hands-on and lead from the front.
• Keep communication clear across the site team.
