Job summary

Anaplan seeks a Senior Data Engineer to work across the full stack of Anaplan AI applications. You will build transformative AI capabilities from ground up, modelling integration, prompt engineering, data ingestion, transformation, storage and governance for our LLM-based systems.

You will design and implement GenAI features, back-end APIs, embeddings, knowledge graphs and retrieval layers, enabling real-time, data-driven planning decisions at enterprise scale.

Qualifications

• Extensive data engineering experience delivering complex AI projects.
• Hands-on experience shipping AI/ML products in production.
• Practical experience with LLM-based systems: RAG, embeddings and evaluation.
• Hands-on expertise with vector/databases and knowledge graphs.
• End-to-end model lifecycle experience in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering and conversational AI patterns.
• MLOps/LLMOps for scalable, reliable deployments.
• Python proficiency and modern software development practices.
• Cloud-native ML infrastructure experience.
• Experience with model serving frameworks like vLLM, TensorRT, Ray.
• Background in forecasting, planning or analytics apps.
• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation for AI features.
• Experience with observability tools (LangSmith, W&B, MLflow).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to data architecture and deployment of scalable GenAI/ML systems.
• Develop end-to-end GenAI features including APIs, model integration and monitoring.
• Integrate and optimise LLMs for business planning use cases.
• Design knowledge graphs, retrieval layers and embedding pipelines.
• Support data plane for evaluation and continuous improvement at scale.
• Build feature and context pipelines for forecasting and anomaly detection.
• Create evaluation frameworks for GenAI feature quality (accuracy, latency, user satisfaction).
