Job summary

Anaplan Inc. in London is seeking a Principal AI Architect to design and lead next-generation GenAI and Agentic AI systems for enterprise planning workflows. You will shape architecture patterns, define APIs, and mentor engineering teams building production-grade AI solutions.

You will collaborate with data science and product teams to translate forecasting models into scalable, secure architectures, while ensuring observability, performance, and reliability across the platform.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in LLM architecture, prompt engineering, and GenAI design.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Proficient in Python with PyTorch or TensorFlow and enterprise frameworks.
• Strong communication skills; able to translate complex architectures for stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent communication standards.
• Experience with vector databases, RAG architectures, and semantic search.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI services.
• Experience in SaaS or enterprise software companies.

Responsibilities

• Design GenAI and conversational AI solutions that integrate with Anaplan's planning platform.
• Develop architecture patterns and specifications for agentic systems and A2A communication frameworks.
• Design prompt engineering frameworks to optimise LLM performance for time-series forecasting and financial modelling.
• Define API contracts, data models, and integration patterns for AI-powered features.
• Evaluate AI/ML technologies for security, scalability, and reliability.
• Lead architecture reviews and mentor engineering teams implementing production AI solutions.
• Collaborate with data science to translate forecasting models into scalable architectures.
• Design observability and evaluation frameworks, including guardrails and monitoring.
