Job summary

Anaplan is seeking a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to build and lead the Enterprise Grade AI Platform. You will drive the conversational AI, Generative and agentic AI roadmap, managing a team of engineers while remaining hands-on to solve complex tech problems.

You'll oversee implementation, testing, deployment patterns, and collaboration with product management to prioritize features and ensure delivery velocity.

Qualifications

• Engineering leadership and team management experience.
• Hands-on AI development and deployment in production.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, prompts, and conversational AI patterns.
• Experience with agentic frameworks and autonomous agents.
• Proficiency in Python and modern software practices (testing, CI/CD).
• Proven delivery of complex technical projects on time and high quality.
• Agile/Scrum project management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to mentor engineers and build cohesive teams.
• Experience leading teams in fast-growing startups or enterprise software.
• Knowledge of financial planning, analytics, or BI domains.
• Experience with RAG systems, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Familiarity with model fine-tuning and continuous improvement workflows.
• Background in distributed systems, microservices, or cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of AI engineers, fostering excellence and delivery.
• Drive end-to-end conversational AI feature development enabling nat-lang interactions with Anaplan models.
• Oversee agentic AI systems to autonomously analyze data and generate insights.
• Own delivery roadmap, prioritizing features with product management.
• Establish engineering best practices for AI development, testing, evaluation, and deployment.
• Lead sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives to ensure velocity and quality.
• Collaborate with AI Solutions Architects to translate vision into plans.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI apps including testing suites.
• Partner with platform teams to integrate AI features with core infra.
• Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
