Job summary

Nasstar is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to own outcomes of engagements, design end-to-end AI systems, and guide client-facing teams. The role is remote within the UK, with occasional travel to company events.

You will mentor engineers, drive delivery quality, and work across GenAI and applied AI initiatives for diverse clients. Ideal candidates have a track record of production AI systems in consultancy or AI-driven products, strong Python skills, and experience with AWS/Databricks and

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering AI models, systems and products to production in a consultancy or AI-driven product organisation.
• Strong programming and system design skills in Python and related tech stack.
• Experience deploying models on cloud platforms (AWS/Databricks) with solid CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Delivery & impact: Own workstream and engagement outcomes; define success and measure business impact.
• AI & engineering craft: Design AI systems end-to-end and evaluate model trade-offs beyond accuracy.
• Collaboration: Explain AI concepts to clients and lead code reviews; resolve technical disagreements.
• Growth & capability: Mentor engineers and contribute reusable components and best practices.
