Job summary

Vibehackers is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of production-grade AI and Generative AI systems in a remote-based role in the UK. You will own engagement outcomes, define success metrics, measure business impact, manage technical risk, and mentor fellow engineers while serving as a trusted client technical contact.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering AI models, systems and products to production in a consultancy or AI-driven product organisation.
• Strong programming skills (Python and related technologies).
• Experience integrating models/LLMs and deploying on cloud platforms (AWS and/or Databricks) with solid CI/CD practices.
• Ability to own delivery, manage stakeholders, and guide other engineers with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Own workstream and engagement outcomes; define success and measure business impact.
• Design AI and GenAI systems end-to-end across the lifecycle and justify key trade-offs.
• Evaluate model performance using operational and business-relevant metrics beyond simple accuracy.
• Lead code reviews, resolve technical disagreements, and explain AI concepts and limitations to stakeholders.
• Mentor and grow other engineers; contribute reusable components and best practices.
