Our Client

Our client is an established ladies fashion retailer based in the West Midlands area, looking for a talented individual to join as a Senior Garment Technologist. The company designs and develops products for a broad range of consumers, aiming to bring the right look and fit for customers of all ages by utilising high-quality fabrics and raw materials to ensure excellent fit and performance.

Job Description

1. Responsible for Pre-QC Reports and setting up garment specifications.
2. Attend fit sessions alongside the buyer/production team to review signed-off samples on the fit model.
3. Instruct factories/suppliers regarding fit, make, and quality.
4. Maintain consistency of fit in line with customer expectations.
5. Have a good understanding of patterns and garment construction.
6. Ensure suppliers meet the company's quality standards.
7. Liaise with factories on all aspects of production.
8. Possess a keen eye for fit assessment, quality, and attention to detail.
9. Assess and interpret test reports, conduct risk analysis, and approve wash care instructions.
10. Work alongside the buying team to ensure styles are completed within the critical path timescales.
11. Manage the critical path and chase deadlines.
12. Process and manage stock buys.
13. Cover warehouse duties as required.
14. Manage sample storage areas, including Reference Isle, Production Avenue, Photo Shoot, Shipment Isle, and Stock Buys.
