Job summary

Homerun B.V. in London is seeking an experienced Senior Programmer to help design and implement core game systems across multiple projects, collaborating with art and engineering to bring virtual worlds to life.

You will prototype rapidly, adapt existing code, and take ownership of problems end-to-end with a creative voice. We support hybrid or remote work for strong candidates; some weekly in-studio time at our Oval studio is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience across the full production cycle, from prototyping to shipping.
• Strong Unity/C# craft on 3D games.
• Experience shipping PC/console titles with certification.
• Ability to explain trade-offs to designers and artists.
• Good documentation habits.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building core game systems and architecture through pre-production and beyond.
• Reading and adapting existing code from previous titles into the new project.
• Prototyping quickly with design and art, then hardening what survives into production code.
• Owning problems end-to-end with autonomy and collaboration with Nacho.
• Bringing a creative voice to the game beyond code.
• Help build a maintainable, performant codebase that can evolve after release.
• Some weekly in-studio time at our London (Oval) studio is encouraged; remote/hybrid possible.
