Job summary

Kpler is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer for the Web Experience team to evolve the frontend platform behind MarineTraffic and Kpler Terminal. You will unify web apps on a shared monorepo and architecture, delivering real-time maritime intelligence to millions of users.

You will lead with TypeScript across Vue 3, React, and Node.js, design BFF layers, and advance AI-enabled engineering to ensure architectural excellence and strong velocity across ~20 feature teams.

Qualifications

• Senior fullstack engineering experience with production web apps and microservices at scale.
• Proficiency in TypeScript across stack, Vue 3, React, and Node.js backend.
• Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices, BFF patterns, and data stores (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka).
• Ability to balance high architectural quality with rapid, iterative product delivery for end-users and developers.
• Hands-on experience using AI development tools (Cursor, Claude Code) to speed engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Unify multi-platform UX by migrating flagship apps to Atlas, Kpler's component library, and Tailwind-based design system (Vue 3 + React).
• Build platform-level microservices and BFF layers powering maps, search, dashboards, and preferences across web and mobile.
• Improve developer experience with monorepo tooling, CI automation, and migration pathways for ~20 feature teams.
• Incorporate AI-first engineering across the lifecycle to boost velocity and quality.
• Architect resilient systems using hexagonal architecture, DDD, event-driven patterns, and micro-frontends.
• Mentor engineers through documentation, code reviews, and biweekly developer sessions.
