Qualifications

• Senior-level backend experience with 5+ years in production systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and PHP, with PostgreSQL expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and ClickHouse.
• Proven ability to design RESTful APIs and distributed microservices.
• Operational mindset with CI/CD, containerization, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale backend services using Python and PHP.
• Build real-time streaming and analytical pipelines with Kafka and ClickHouse.
• Optimize PostgreSQL query performance and ClickHouse schema design for low latency.
• Own production health, monitoring, and reliability across environments.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Tech Leads, Cloud Platform teams and client-facing engineers.
• Mentor peers through design reviews and coding standards within the Maritime domain.
