Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III to shape enterprise technology across corporate functions, delivering resilient full stack solutions with Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.

You will design, build, and evolve APIs and systems to meet security and scalability demands within a regulated environment. You will collaborate with product owners and UX designers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to automation and AI-assisted development efforts to enhance delivery speed

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Experience building full stack apps with Java (8+) and Angular (6+), delivering Spring/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with strong UX focus.
• Proven ability to write clean, testable code with automated testing and peer review.
• Understanding of microservices patterns and enterprise tradeoffs.
• Experience with SDLC tools including CI/CD, branching, and release discipline.
• Awareness of secure coding practices and API security in enterprise environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration with distributed teams.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools and evaluating AI-generated outputs.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver full stack applications using Java (8+), Spring Boot microservices, and Angular (6+), ensuring resilient, secure solutions.
• Build and evolve REST APIs with strong microservices patterns and enterprise-grade design.
• Write clean, testable code with automated testing and participate in peer reviews.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and release discipline.
• Troubleshoot production issues using root-cause analysis to improve stability and reduce risk.
• Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and engineers to create usable and scalable solutions.
• Contribute to shared standards and reusable components to accelerate delivery.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve quality and speed, with peer review and secure coding.
