Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Software Engineer II to ship secure, full-stack features using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.

You will work on scalable systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures, while using AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery and maintain quality. You’ll collaborate with teams to improve performance, reliability, and security, participating in code reviews and modern engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience in design, development, testing, and production support.
• Strong Java proficiency with Spring ecosystem and Kafka messaging.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of secure, scalable engineering practices and modern tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver software across full development lifecycle.
• Build secure production code and review peers’ work.
• Automate recurring issues to improve stability and resiliency.
