Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Software Engineer III to own end-to-end delivery of secure, full-stack features within the Global Banking Technology team. You will ship Java-based code, optimize microservices, and advance CI/CD pipelines while addressing reliability and security at scale.

You will troubleshoot production issues, drive performance improvements, and explore AI-enabled patterns responsibly, building a long-term engineering career in a firm that invests in its people.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA and Spring Kafka.
• Experience delivering production services with microservices and Kafka/event-driven patterns.
• Experience implementing automation, CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
• Proven ability across all stages of the software development lifecycle with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex features, shaping options and scalable software.
• Own end-to-end engineering outcomes across design, build, test, release and operate phases.
• Ensure secure production code, code reviews, and debugging across services.
• Drive automation and runbook creation to improve stability and resiliency.
• Contribute to service boundaries, API contracts and data flows across teams.
• Evaluate architectures with internal partners and assess security posture.
• Mentor peers and promote modern engineering practices.
• Foster inclusive engineering culture and diverse teams.
• Produce architecture/design artifacts for complex apps.
