Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, build, and evolve enterprise-grade applications across Finance, Risk, HR, Compliance and Legal within Corporate Technology.

You will contribute to architecture, implement RESTful microservices, and ensure security, performance, and scalability for critical corporate systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging AI-assisted development tools.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on experience building full-stack apps with Java 8+ and Angular 6+.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Ability to write clean, testable code with automated testing practices.
• Understanding of microservices patterns and enterprise design tradeoffs.
• Experience with CI/CD and secure coding practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration across distributed teams.
• Experience with enterprise AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver full stack applications using Java (8+), Spring Boot microservices, and Angular (6+).
• Build and evolve well-designed REST APIs with microservices patterns.
• Write clean, testable code with automated testing and peer reviews.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and release discipline for safe deployments.
• Troubleshoot production issues with root-cause analysis to improve stability.
• Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and cross-functional engineers.
• Contribute to shared standards and reusable components across the team.
• Leverage AI coding assist tools to improve quality, speed and security.
• Apply SDLC tools to increase automation value.
