Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III in London to own end-to-end delivery of secure, full stack features using Java, Spring, and microservices. You will work with Kafka/event-driven patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and robust testing to improve performance and resiliency.

You will mentor teammates, participate in architecture reviews, and help shape scalable, enterprise-grade software across banking platforms.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java and Spring ecosystem.
• Experience delivering production-grade microservices.
• Knowledge of Kafka/event-driven patterns and reliability.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Ability to work in enterprise-scale, secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex features and services by shaping options and implementing scalable software.
• Own end-to-end engineering outcomes across design, build, test, release, and operate phases.
• Maintain code quality by writing secure production code, leading reviews, and debugging cross-service issues.
• Drive operational excellence by identifying failure patterns and delivering automated fixes to improve stability.
• Influence architecture and API/event contracts across teams within enterprise constraints.
• Partner on technical evaluations of architecture, delivery readiness, and security posture.
• Mentor and elevate team capability through pairing, reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Promote an inclusive culture grounded in diversity and respect.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications with proper constraints.
• Leverage AI coding assist tools responsibly with peer review and secure coding standards.
• Apply SDLC tools and automation capabilities to improve value.
