Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking an Software Engineer III to own end-to-end delivery of secure, full-stack features in the Global Banking Technology team.

You will turn requirements into solid designs, ship Java code, and improve services built on microservices, Kafka and CI/CD pipelines. You will troubleshoot production issues, drive performance and resiliency improvements, and automate recurring problems to strengthen operational stability.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Ownership of system design and delivery for production services.
• Strong proficiency in Java and frameworks including Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, and Spring Kafka.
• Experience with microservices and Kafka/event-driven architectures.
• Automation and continuous delivery via CI/CD pipelines and tests.
• Full lifecycle software development with documentation and traceability.
• Understanding of Agile delivery and secure engineering practices.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools with critical evaluation of outputs.
• Knowledge of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end engineering outcomes from design to operation, ensuring security and performance.
