Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Full‑Stack Engineer for a hybrid role. You will design, develop, test, and maintain high‑performance microservices and RESTful APIs for real‑time trading platforms, using Java/J2EE and Spring.

You will work across backend services and front‑end interfaces, with Oracle databases and modern container platforms ensuring secure, scalable delivery. You will participate in the full SDLC, emphasize secure coding, automated delivery, and platform

Qualifications

• Substantial professional experience building and supporting full‑stack software.
• Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE and the Spring ecosystem.
• Experience designing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Familiar with Oracle databases, SQL, data modeling and transaction integrity.
• Understanding secure SDLC, CI/CD, automated testing, version control, and deployment processes.
• Experience with containers/orchestration platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes; ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, enhance, and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs for financial tech apps.
• Develop backend services with Java/J2EE and Spring; contribute to frontend features with modern frameworks.
• Work with Oracle databases to ensure reliable data access and integrity.
• Participate in design reviews, SDLC activities, CI/CD workflows, and deployment on OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product partners and stakeholders.
