Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Belfast is recruiting a Senior Low Latency Java Engineer for Equities Electronic-Execution.

You will design, develop and deliver next‑gen low‑latency trading components, including algorithmic routing, market data processing and connectivity to global exchanges. You will lead high‑performance development across cross‑functional teams, implement automated testing, and champion CI/CD practices in a hybrid work environment with up to two days at home.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in low-latency Java development for trading
• Strong testing and quality engineering practices
• Good knowledge of Agile and CI/CD workflows
• Experience with low-latency system design, concurrency and throughput

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance, low-latency trading components
• Collaborate with traders, quants and clients to translate needs into features
• Improve testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for reliability
• Contribute to and lead agile development practices in a global context
