Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Belfast is seeking a Senior Java Applications Developer to help build and modernize a centralized event platform for corporate actions.

You will design and implement robust Java microservices, RESTful APIs, and data-driven components within a strict governance framework. This hybrid role offers three days in the office and two remote, with exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git versioning, and Sonar quality checks.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing complex software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful services (XML, JSON).
• Proven experience with microservices architecture and Spring Framework.
• CI/CD pipelines experience and Git expertise.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement complex software solutions using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust microservices.
• Create and optimize SQL queries.
• Apply CI/CD pipelines and ensure automated quality checks.
• Write unit, integration, and functional tests and contribute to code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable software.
