Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on software engineering experience delivering production-ready backends.
• Proven ability shaping engineering practices and enabling teams.
• Strong experience designing microservices and scalable architectures.
• Experience releasing changes to production with CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in building RESTful APIs and data schemas.
• Hands-on ReactJS UI development across the stack.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and GCP in production environments.
• Backend services in Java (Java 21+).

Responsibilities

• Build and release backend microservices, UI applications and database changes into production.
• Align CDD Shape architecture with a Java 21+ microservice structure.
• Accelerate delivery cadence through hands-on contribution and reliable production changes.
• Set engineering standards, mentor engineers and embed modern development practices.
• Partner with leadership to understand requirements and ensure delivery across the team.
• Strengthen engineering culture across testing, code review, and documentation.
• Remove impediments and communicate issues to programme management.
• Support services running in Docker containers on Kubernetes within GCP.
