Job summary

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow is seeking experienced Senior Full Stack Developers to design, build, test and deploy secure cloud-native applications across front-end and back-end technologies. You’ll work in multidisciplinary Agile teams on mission-critical programmes for UK clients, delivering high-quality outcomes while developing your own technical and consulting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong full‑stack experience.
• Experience with modern front‑end frameworks (e.g., React).
• Experience with back-end services (Node.js, Java, Spring Boot or Python).
• Experience developing and consuming APIs and integration services.
• Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Able to work in Agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy modern cloud-native applications.
• Build secure, scalable and maintainable solutions across front-end and back-end technologies.
• Develop APIs, integrations and services within distributed and microservices architectures.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution development activities.
• Support code reviews, mentoring and knowledge sharing across delivery teams.
• Contribute to engineering standards, automation, CI/CD and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges with a focus on quality, security and performance.
