Job summary

Enso Recruitment is partnering with a globally recognised technology business in Belfast to hire a Senior Full Stack Engineer. You will own the full development lifecycle, delivering scalable applications in a fintech setting with an emphasis on architecture, quality, and collaboration.

You will work in an Agile team, mentor peers, and contribute to long-term technical direction while ensuring robust CI/CD, security and performance across services.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a full stack engineer in enterprise settings.
• Hands-on with C# and ASP.NET.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
• Experience with AWS and containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiar with CI/CD tooling and GitLab.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or SQL Server).
• Experienced in Agile cross-functional delivery.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, evolve and maintain scalable full stack applications across a modern cloud-based technology estate.
• Design and maintain microservices architecture and API integrations.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and shape long-term technical direction.
• Uphold CI/CD practices, automated testing, and SDLC standards.
• Drive application performance improvements and embed security best practices.
• Investigate and resolve production issues in distributed systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and raise engineering standards across the team.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to clarify complex problems and deliver solutions.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you’ll take ownership across the full development lifecycle, building and shipping scalable applications at the heart of a fast-moving financial technology environment.

You’ll bring strong opinions on architecture, mentor those around you, and work within an Agile team that values quality, rigour, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, evolve and maintain scalable full stack applications across a modern cloud-based technology estate
• Design and maintain microservices architecture and API integrations
• Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape the long-term technical direction
• Uphold strong CI/CD practices, automated testing, and SDLC standards throughout delivery
• Drive application performance improvements and embed security best practices at every layer
• Dig into and resolve production issues across complex, distributed systems
• Mentor junior engineers and raise the bar on engineering standards across the team
• Partner with Business Analysts and Product Owners to bring clarity to complex problems and deliver the right solutions

About You

• Proven track record as a full stack engineer, with significant experience delivering in large-scale, enterprise settings
• Confident back-end engineer with hands-on C# and ASP.NET experience
• Good working knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets
• Hands-on experience with AWS and containerisation tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Comfortable with version control and CI/CD tooling (e.g. GitLab)
• Strong relational database skills, particularly PostgreSQL or SQL Server
• Experienced working in Agile, cross-functional delivery teams
• A strong communicator who can cut through complexity and work well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
