Job summary

IBM Consulting FutureNow in the United Kingdom is seeking experienced Senior Full Stack Developers to deliver mission-critical cloud-native solutions across public and private sectors. You will join multidisciplinary Agile teams within a Digital Product Engineering practice, taking ownership of design, development, testing and deployment of modern applications.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience developing full-stack applications.
• Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with React.
• Back-end experience with Node.js, Java, Spring Boot or Python.
• Experience developing and consuming APIs and integration services.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD.
• Understanding of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy modern cloud-native applications.
• Build secure, scalable and maintainable solutions across front-end and back-end technologies.
• Develop APIs, integrations and services within distributed and microservices-based architectures.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, product owners and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution development activities.
• Support code reviews, mentoring and knowledge sharing across delivery teams.
• Contribute to engineering standards, automation, continuous integration and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges while maintaining a focus on quality, security and performance.
