Grafana Labs is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager for the Grafana Frontend. You will lead the Frontend Platform and Navigation squads, directing performance, delivery and customer outcomes in a fully remote, globally distributed team.

You will mentor senior engineers, collaborate with Product and Design, and drive AI-enabled improvements across our frontend stack. You’ll influence engineering direction for accessibility, architecture, tooling and multitenant capabilities, while ensuring

Experience managing senior engineers and developing leaders.
Strong foundation in modern web/frontend systems.
Track record turning ambiguous cross-team problems into priorities.
Strong product and customer judgement.
Clear written communication in a remote distributed org.

Experience using AI and automation in leadership.

Responsibilities

Be accountable for the performance of two distributed engineering squads; set expectations, coach, and provide feedback.
Own hiring and team planning across both squads aligned with product priorities.
Lead discovery with customers, community members, and internal users to shape roadmaps.
Partner with Product, Design, and engineering leaders to set priorities and trade-offs.
Own delivery from discovery through rollout and measurement; manage risks and dependencies.
Use AI to synthesize research and inform roadmap and resourcing decisions.
Lead adoption of AI and automation across workflows to improve delivery speed and quality.
