Job summary

Grafana Labs is a remote-first company seeking a Backend Engineer for the Platform - Stacks. You will contribute to the AppCore stacks that manage Grafana Cloud environments, ensuring reliable stack creation, configuration, and migrations.

You will collaborate across SSS, grafana.com, and deployment configurations to keep workflows observable, reliable, and scalable. You’ll work in a distributed team, own significant portions of stack lifecycle, and help drive incident response improvements.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of fully remote work experience.
Experience with SaaS platforms and distributed systems concepts.
Proficiency in Golang and backend services.
Focus on developer and user experience and product quality.
Experience delivering projects end-to-end from ideation to shipping.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate reconciliation systems and the SSS backend to track desired stack state.
Collaborate across teams to ensure reliable stack lifecycle workflows and configurations.
Improve deployment efficiency and reduce complexity across regions and environments.
Manage rollout mechanisms for plugins, dashboards, data sources, and stack configurations.
Support new Grafana Cloud region and cluster rollouts with safe operational paths.
Contribute to roadmap planning, design decisions, and on-call improvements.
