Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer for Alerting. This remote role welcomes applicants from the UK. You will help scale alerting infrastructure and work with Grafana Cloud teams to support cloud and on‑prem deployments.

You’ll influence roadmap decisions, own features end‑to‑end, participate in on‑call rotations, mentor teammates, and deepen your expertise in distributed systems and cloud software. Grafana offers RSUs, 100% remote work, a global culture, and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• Motivated self‑starter with a bias toward action.
• Customer‑focused, building everything with the user in mind.
• Experience delivering projects from requirements through shipping a product to customers.
• Experience developing software that runs in the Cloud or with systems engineering background.
• Ability to write clean, robust, and performant software that is easily maintained by others.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a fully remote setup.
