Adore Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for a Freight Forwarding role in Southampton. The position combines office and field work, focusing on growing a customer base across air, sea, and rail freight.

You will own the sales process from outreach to closure, negotiating terms and collaborating with Operations to ensure seamless delivery. The ideal candidate has freight operations experience, strong communication, and proven ability to generate and convert leads.

Qualificações

• Must have freight operations experience.
• Preferable sales or key account management in a freight forwarder.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Strong IT skills.

Responsabilidades

• Primarily an office & field based role.
• Achieve new business sales targets by developing relationships with new and lapsed customers.
• Generate own leads and follow up on leads and referrals from Operations.
• Own the sales process from lead generation to closing the sale.
• Negotiate price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and close the sale.
• Interact effectively with the Operations team.
• Understand and communicate the company’s products, services and pricing.
• Maintain sales pipeline using CRM software.
• Maintain a monthly personal sales activity plan.
