Job summary

Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our freight forwarding client to recruit a Senior Freight Forwarder/Operations Co-Ordinator on a permanent, full time basis. Based in LS12, Leeds, this role offers a salary of £34k per annum plus benefits and a Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm working pattern.

You will oversee day-to-day operations of the export and import department, calculate freight quotations and build jobs including customs entries, liaise with suppliers and customers,

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding is essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to work as part of a team whilst managing your own workload.
• Competent IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the export and import department.
• Calculate freight quotations and build jobs including customs entries.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers.
• Complete documentation for shipments, invoicing and related duties.
• Build solid working relationships with customers.
• Mentor junior team members and support senior department functions.
