Thales Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a firmware engineer to design and verify FPGA firmware for mission-critical defence and space systems, using VHDL/SystemVerilog and modern FPGA/SoC technologies. You will work across hardware, software and systems teams to deliver reusable, scalable firmware solutions.

Applicants should have demonstrable FPGA firmware design experience, familiarity with verification test benches and simulation tools, and a degree in Electronics or related field;

Qualifications

• Demonstrable FPGA firmware design experience in defence/aerospace/transport sectors.
• Degree in Electronics or a related field.
• Experience with VHDL or SystemVerilog and verification using test benches/simulation tools.

Responsabilités

• Architect FPGA firmware for mission-critical systems and deliver reusable architectures.
• Collaborate with systems, software and hardware teams to progress from requirements to verified firmware.
• Contribute to verification methodologies, scripts and automation to improve firmware quality.
