Job summary

Intros is seeking a Senior/Principal Firmware Engineer to design and develop firmware using VHDL/Verilog. The role involves close collaboration with Systems, Hardware and Software teams to deliver robust firmware solutions for complex systems.

Requirements include 5+ years in firmware, expertise with Mentor Graphics HDL Designer, ModelSim/Questa and Precision, and experience with Xilinx/Intel ISE flows. UK citizenship for SC clearance is also noted.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of firmware development using VHDL/Verilog.
• 0
• Experience with Mentor Graphics FPGA tools (HDL Designer, ModelSim/Questa, Precision).
• Familiar with Xilinx/Intel/Actel ISE flows and third-party synthesis tools.
• Ability to derive firmware requirements from system/hardware specs.
• Debug firmware and support HW/system integration.
• Knowledge of firmware version control and revision control.
• Coordinate day-to-day technical activities with Project Engineering Lead.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Linux scripting experience.
• Embedded ARM cores in FPGA designs.
• UVM/SystemVerilog familiarity.
• Knowledge of RTOS and real-time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative and robust VHDL/Verilog designs.
• Document and record deliverables.
• Provide progress reports to leadership.
• Collaborate with Systems, Hardware and Software teams for firmware solutions.
• Support integration and verification at hardware and system levels.
