Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer Architect to work with customers on data & AI challenges using the Databricks platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript with modern frameworks.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and MLOps workflows.
• Design and deployment of end-to-end data architectures with pipelines, ML models, and UIs.
• Willingness to travel 20% for customer engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solutions delivery for customer projects.
• Own architecture decisions ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with best practices.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact.
• Collaborate with Databricks teams to ensure timely delivery and feedback cycles.
• Develop reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices across accounts.
