Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed AI Engineer to design and build AI agents and automation tools with a leadership element. You will provide technical oversight, shape new work, and mentor junior team members across onshore and offshore resources.

The role focuses on architecture, governance, and end-to-end live releases, while collaborating with senior stakeholders to deliver scalable AI solutions in a UK context.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or equivalent experience.
• Proven AI developer/engineer with a strong project portfolio.
• Strong coding skills in Python and TypeScript; Git proficiency.
• Experience designing AI agents, cloud-native AI solutions, and governance.
• Familiarity with Pandas/NumPy/SQL and enterprise integration using APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents and automation tools with oversight.
• Implement AI solutions across projects with scalable, reusable designs.
• Lead technical reviews, set engineering standards and governance.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate delivery across resources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams translating business needs into specs.
