Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join the Core Business Services team in the UK. This hands-on role includes leadership responsibilities, design and build of AI agents, and delivering quality across projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong AI engineering background, experience with cloud-native AI, and the ability to mentor others while coordinating across onshore and offshore resources.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as an AI developer/engineer with delivered projects.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript; Git/version control.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures and software design.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents and automation tools; provide technical oversight.
• Create scalable AI solutions across projects; define governance and risk controls.
• Lead and mentor junior team members; manage senior stakeholders.
