Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join our Core Business Services team in the UK. This hands-on role combines leadership with technical excellence as you design and build AI agents and automation tools, oversee projects, and mentor junior colleagues across multiple portfolios.

You will decide between low-code and pro-code approaches, craft cloud-native AI solutions, and ensure governance and security are embedded in all work.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering AI agents and automation solutions.
• Ability to design cloud-native AI solutions and scalable architectures.
• Experience balancing low-code and pro-code approaches.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents and automation tools to solve complex problems.
• Create AI solutions across multiple projects, with orchestration layers and reusability.
• Choose between low-code and pro-code approaches based on needs.
• Design cloud-native platforms to host AI offerings and integrate new features.
• Provide technical oversight and QA across projects and mentor juniors.
• Set engineering standards and review code and solutions produced by the team.
• Translate business problems into deliverable technical scope with effort estimates.
• Own governance and end-to-end setup including AI risk assessment and information security.
