Job summary

ServiceNow’s Applied AI Forward Deployed Engineering team is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE). You will own backend services, LLM pipelines, and front-end integrations, partnering with customers to design and deliver solution-ready builds in agile sprints.

The role requires 10+ years of software engineering, strong backend/frontend skills, and experience with AI tooling like LangChain.

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience.
2+ years building customer-facing or embedded systems.
Design and implement AI-native software in production.
Strong backend (Python, Node.js, Java) and frontend (React, Angular) skills.
Familiar with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, prompts, vector search, and context management.
DevOps fluency with CI/CD and cloud: AWS/Azure/GCP.
Willing to travel up to 30% to embed onsite.

Responsibilities

Build production-ready LLM-enabled applications spanning backend, data orchestration, and UI.
Operate in the field, embedding with customers to deploy in live environments.
Codify reusable assets—libraries, prompts, scaffolds—for future engagements.
Shape developer experience by feeding back to platform and product teams.
Deliver end-to-end solutions in agile sprints with scalable architecture.
