Job summary

Waterjobsuk in Wales is seeking a Senior Forestry Programme Engineer to lead a rolling five-year civil engineering programme for the Welsh Government Woodland Estate.

You'll deliver forest roads, bridges, junctions and related infrastructure while coordinating with Forest Operations, Local Planning Authorities and SuDS bodies. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior officers to obtain consents and permissions.
• Provide mentoring and staff development; champion health, safety, wellbeing and environmental objectives.
• Demonstrate project management for infrastructure and new roads projects.
• Maintain project documentation and organise programme meetings.
• Prepare, track and manage project programmes; forecast milestones.
• Identify and manage risks across financial, contractual and reputational areas.
• Engage Local Planning Authorities, SuDS Boards and other external stakeholders.
• Build relationships to deliver projects on time and within budget.
