Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Manager for a full-time, permanent role in Dunstable. You will act as the technical authority on a AA grade BRCGS-certified site, ensuring safety, legality, hygiene and compliance across products and processes throughout the supply chain.

The role bridges food science, assurance, and operations, overseeing quality management, audits, supplier compliance and training. Strong HACCP knowledge and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, and food hygiene regulations.
• Excellent risk assessment and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with a commercial mindset.
• Confident communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership and people management capability.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality systems, documentation, risk assessments, SOPs to ensure compliance.
• Maintain supply chain quality and ensure adherence to company quality systems.
• Lead HACCP and site audits, drive corrective actions where needed.
• Oversee testing and verification procedures across the site.
• Address customer issues, audits, complaints, and concessions.
