Job summary

Food & Beverage Company (Confidential) is recruiting for a senior Technical leader to run the site's Technical, Food Safety and Quality functions in the Lancaster area. You will lead the Technical/QA team, manage audits, and partner with the Site Director to drive continuous improvement and risk management.

You will oversee HACCP, ensure compliance with BRCGS, customer standards and legislation, and act as the key Technical contact for customers, auditors and regulators.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as Technical Manager, Senior Technical Manager or Head of Technical.
• Experience across multiple technical management roles or at Head of Technical level.
• Strong background in chilled food manufacturing.
• Extensive knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, Food Safety, Quality, Hygiene and legislation.
• Experience with customers, retailers, audits and regulatory bodies.
• Confidence to make decisions, challenge senior stakeholders and manage risk.
• Proactive, commercially aware and solutions-focused leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical/QA function with clear direction across the site.
• Lead HACCP and ensure robust Food Safety, Quality and Legal Compliance.
• Ensure compliance with BRCGS, customer standards and food legislation.
• Manage Technical risk and make timely decisions.
• Act as the key Technical contact for customers, auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Manage customer, third-party and internal audits.
• Oversee Hygiene compliance and corrective actions; support continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop the Technical team.
