Job summary

SGS, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, is seeking a Senior Food Regulatory Advisor to join our regulatory affairs team. This remote UK role offers 37.5 hours per week and a salary starting at £44,000 per year, dependent on experience.

You will support key retail clients with regulatory compliance across UK and EU regimes while ensuring packaging and labeling meet all legal standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or related discipline.
• 7+ years in Regulatory Affairs or related food industry role.
• Strong knowledge of UK and EU food legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience preparing and approving legally compliant pack copy and artwork.
• Experience completing online retailer specifications.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level professional services to key retail clients.
• Ensure products are safe and legal by providing consultancy for regulatory compliance, specification interrogation, pack copy generation, artwork approval, food labelling legislation, technical standards and advertising.
• Be the point of expertise for complex regulatory categories and queries.
• Prepare and review product specifications, pack copy and final artwork in line with client requirements.

• Salary: from £44,000pa DOE

Overview

• To provide a high level of professional services to key retail clients.
• Responsible for ensuring that products are safe and legal by providing consultancy for legal and technical compliance, specification interrogation, pack copy generation, artwork approval, food labelling legislation, technical standards and advertising.
• Point of expertise for complex regulatory categories and queries
• Prepare and review product specifications, pack copy and final artwork in line with client requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience in working within the Food Supplement Industry due to business requirements

What we are ideally looking for:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Regulatory Affairs or a related food industry role.
• Strong knowledge of UK and EU food legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience preparing and approving legally compliant pack copy and artwork.
• Experience completing online retailer specifications.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
