Job summary

SGS is seeking a Technical Assistant to work remotely in the UK on a permanent basis. You will prepare, verify and approve product documentation, ensuring compliance with client policies and providing regulatory support to Compliance Managers and Senior Advisors.

The ideal candidate has a food industry background in regulatory, QC/QA or advisory roles, with Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification or equivalent. Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills are

Qualifications

• Experience in the food industry with regulatory, QC/QA or advisory exposure.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Awareness of online retailer specifications and microbiology/nutrition analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, check and approve product documentation according to client requirements.
• Report non-compliance against client policies.
• Provide technical and regulatory support to Compliance Managers and Senior Advisors.
• Ensure product documentation adheres to client policies and procedures.
• Apply new and updated client policies, regulatory and technical requirements.

Job Description

• Job Title: Technical Assistant

• Salary:From £28,000 DOE

Overview

• Prepare, verify, check and approve product documentation in accordance with the client’s requirements taking information from suppliers.
• Reporting any non-compliance against client policies.
• Providing technical and regulatory support to the Compliance Managers and Senior Advisors
• Ensure that the product documentation adheres to client policies and procedures.
• Applying client’s new and updated policies, regulatory and technical requirements.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience in working within the food industry within a regulatory, QC/QA or advisory position

What we are ideally looking for:

• Formal Food Hygiene/Science/Regulatory Qualification or Degree orIntermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2)
• Previous food industry background - ideally food manufacturing, regulatory or quality assurance
• Awareness of completing on-line retailer specifications.
• Awareness of microbiology and nutritional analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
