Job summary
SGS, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, is seeking a Senior Food Regulatory Advisor to join our regulatory affairs team. This remote UK role offers 37.5 hours per week and a salary starting at £44,000 per year, dependent on experience.
You will support key retail clients with regulatory compliance across UK and EU regimes while ensuring packaging and labeling meet all legal standards.
Qualifications
- Degree in Food Science or related discipline.
- 7+ years in Regulatory Affairs or related food industry role.
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU food legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience preparing and approving legally compliant pack copy and artwork.
- Experience completing online retailer specifications.
- Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide high level professional services to key retail clients.
- Ensure products are safe and legal by providing consultancy for regulatory compliance, specification interrogation, pack copy generation, artwork approval, food labelling legislation, technical standards and advertising.
- Be the point of expertise for complex regulatory categories and queries.
- Prepare and review product specifications, pack copy and final artwork in line with client requirements.
