Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a Senior Advisor in Fluvial Flood Risk Modelling to support and assure high-profile flood risk modelling. You will lead technical work and coach others, applying expert knowledge across hydrology, GIS and hydraulic modelling.

You will collaborate with a team of specialists in flood hydrology, help shape ways of working, and contribute to skills and training across Evidence Services and the Directorate.

Qualifications

Expert knowledge and technical leadership in flood modelling and hydrology.

Responsibilities

Provide assurance and technical guidance for complex flood risk modelling.
Support six Fluvial Delivery Teams technically and contribute to training and skills development.
Collaborate across the FCRM Directorate with Risk Assessment/Head of Flood Risk Mapping and Modelling colleagues.
Promote clear communication of uncertainties and modelling limitations to stakeholders.
