Job summary

Environment Agency is seeking a Senior Advisor for Fluvial Flood Risk Modelling to join the Evidence Services team. You will support and provide assurance on complex flood risk models, communicate findings clearly to non-experts, and coach others in best-practice modelling.

You will contribute across centres of excellence and collaborate with Risk Assessment teams. The role requires expert knowledge of hydraulic flood modelling, GIS tools, data processing and strong communication to influence

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge and technical leadership in flood modelling and hydrology.
• Extensive experience building hydraulic flood models in a fluvial setting using GIS tools.
• Experience in data processing and GIS software packages.
• Mentoring and coaching skills with a commitment to continuous development.
• Ability to work independently and in teams to solve problems.
• Excellent communication of complex problems to non-experts.
